Young Women Building Their Future Project Grant Program was launched to enhance the employability of NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) young women aged 18-29 and to develop innovative, collaboration-based models that facilitate their employment.

Four priority areas were identified within the scope of the Grant Program:

  • Developing vocational skills of NEET women to support their employment,
  • Creating decent work opportunities for NEET women,
  • Producing sustainable solutions to overcome barriers to NEET women’s employment,
  • Developing collaboration-based models and scaling up existing models to ensure the employment of NEET women.

The Grant Program was open to applications from associations, foundations, cooperatives, chambers of industry and commerce, other professional organizations, and municipalities. In addition to the project’s pilot provinces, applications were also accepted from 11 provinces affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, which were declared disaster zones.

The 20 provinces eligible for application were: Adana, Adıyaman, Ankara, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Konya, Malatya, Mardin, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon, and Van.

Between 2023 and 2024, a total of 7 projects were supported under the Grant Program.
