Equalize the Future Project

UNICEF & Habitat Association

Objective: The Equalize the Future Project aims to enhance the digital skills, social entrepreneurship capacity, and employability of Turkish and foreign youth aged 15–24 living in Türkiye.

Scope: The project includes activities such as design thinking, software development and UI/UX training, career planning, and entrepreneurship programs that support digital competencies and entrepreneurial development.

Women in Technology

Teknosa & Habitat Association

Objective: To enhance women’s digital literacy and technology use skills, empowering them to participate more actively in social and economic life.

Scope: It includes free digital literacy and technology training for women across Turkey, covering basic computer use, internet skills, social media, e-services and more.

Job for the Future Project

KADEM & Ministry of Family and Social Services & Ministry of National Education & İŞKUR

Objective: Job for the Future Project aims to prepare young women under state protection for employment by helping them acquire professional skills.

Scope: The project includes vocational training, personal development workshops, psycho- social support, and internships/on-the-job training opportunities.

NEETWORK Project

İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University & İZUBAM & İKG PRO & Ministry of Labor and Social Security & IPA II

Objective: The NEETWORK Project aims to increase the employability of young women in NEET (not in education, employment, or training) status in İzmir, in response to workforce needs in the tourism and gastronomy sectors.

Scope: The project includes vocational trainings (barista, assistant chef, waiter/waitress, housekeeping), seminars, internships/on-the-job trainings, and matching with the business world, aiming to strengthen NEET young women’s access to employment and İŞKUR support.

Women’s Energy School

Reges Elektrik Enerjisi & Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Family and Social Services & Istanbul Kültür University

Objective: Women’s Energy School is an educational program aimed at increasing women’s employment and representation in the energy sector by developing their knowledge, skills, and leadership capacities.

Scope: It is a hands-on training program that includes technical and sector-specific education on the electricity and energy sector, as well as leadership, career development, and mentoring support.

My Dream Future

Ford Otosan & VKV

Objective: To support gender equality in STEM fields and increase women’s access to education, employment, and leadership opportunities in these areas.
Scope: Mentorship, technical and personal development trainings, online learning sessions, and employment transition support are provided for women who are studying in STEM, recent graduates, or those looking to restart their careers.

Developing Women Empowerment Models Manufacturing Industry Project

UNDP & T.C. Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı & TİSK

Objective: To increase women’s employment in the manufacturing industry and to equip them with skills in digital and green transformation.

Scope: Trainings and seminars on topics such as digital skills, gender equality, and green production are offered to young women with STEM degrees and blue-collar women; employment and career development are also supported.

Study on Identifying the Profiles of NEET Youth in Türkiye from a Well-being Perspective and Developing Policy Recommendations

Istanbul Bilgi University

Objective: To identify the profiles of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth aged 15–24 in Türkiye based on their well-being, to develop realistic models through intersectional analyses (e.g., gender, rurality), and to formulate policy recommendations.
Scope: A multi-method research study is being conducted across Türkiye to assess the well-being of NEET youth, including data analysis, seminars, and policy development activities.

SheLab Project

Boyner & UNDP

Objective: To contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth by supporting women’s entrepreneurship.
Scope: Accelerator programs, mentorship, training, and networking opportunities are provided to women entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses and enhance their participation in the economy.

Enhancing the Skills and Employability of Young People Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET) and at Risk of Becoming NEET in Türkiye

Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı & UNICEF – IPA III

Objective: To strengthen inter-institutional collaboration for NEET youth, develop national policy frameworks and tools, and empower NEET young people.

Scope: Implemented in 12 provinces (Istanbul, Edirne, Izmir, Bursa, Ankara, Adana, Kayseri, Samsun, Giresun, Ağrı, Elazığ, Gaziantep) and across 81 youth centers to help young people gain essential skills.
