Mentorship Program, implemented within the scope of the Young Women Building Their Future Project, is a career and personal development consultancy service designed to support NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) young women aged 18-35.

The program aims to bring together NEET young women (mentees) aged 18-35 with women professionals (mentors) from various sectors to facilitate their integration into the workforce and contribute to their personal development.

The Mentorship Program was implemented for the first time in 2023, followed by a second cycle in 2024 and a third cycle in 2025. Within the scope of the program, a total of 1,500 mentors and 1,600 mentees were reached. Across these three cycles, more than 1,500 mentor–mentee matches were made, 6,039 mentoring sessions were conducted, and a total of 4,786 hours of mentoring sessions were recorded. Throughout the program, many mentees attended job interviews, and approximately 550 young women were successfully integrated into employment.

Any woman who has progressed in her career and is willing to support NEET young women in their journey toward employment and personal development can become a mentor.

Is the Mentorship Program paid?

No, this program is entirely voluntary. Neither mentors nor mentees are required to pay any fees, nor do they receive any payment for participation.

The program offers mentorship on career-focused topics, including job search strategies and processes, career planning, succeeding in the workplace, starting a business. (This program does not guarantee employment; its primary focus is guidance.)

Where and how is the Mentorship Program conducted?

The program is conducted online through a dedicated platform. To participate, you only need an internet connection and a device (computer, phone, or tablet) with video call capability.

How are mentor and mentee pairings made?

Both mentors and mentees fill out an application form during the registration process. Initially, an automated matching system assigns pairs based on responses. These matches are then manually reviewed to ensure the best fit. The system calculates a matching score, and mentees are paired with the mentor who has the highest compatibility score.

Can mentors and mentees see each other’s application details and personal information?

No. In compliance with personal data protection laws (KVKK), mentors and mentees can only see each other’s names after being matched. They cannot access application details or personal information. The project management team does not share this information either. However, after the mentoring sessions begin, mentors and mentees may choose to share their contact information voluntarily.

How many mentors can a mentee have?

Each mentee can only have one mentor at a time.

How many mentees can a mentor have?

A mentor can have up to 4 mentees, as indicated in their application form. The project management team reviews mentor availability, and if deemed appropriate, a mentor may be assigned up to 4 mentees.

How long does the Mentorship Program last?

The Mentorship Program lasts for 8 months.

Yes, you can. Your application will be reviewed again, and if your evaluation is positive, you may rejoin the program.

After logging into the mentoring system with your username and password, you can fill out the Support Request Form located in the Announcements section on the right side of the screen.

Is there a feedback or evaluation system after the meetings?

Yes, there is. For each mentoring match, both mentors and mentees are expected to fill out pre-meeting and post-meeting surveys. After logging in, you can access these surveys from the Announcements section on the right side of the screen, and are encouraged to complete them regularly before and after each session.

Is it possible to change my mentor or mentee?

If necessary, and based on the requests submitted by mentors or mentees, the project management team will review the request and may approve changes.

I am not currently working. I am retired. Can I still apply as a mentor?

Yes. Any woman who is willing to support young women who are not in education or employment and help them with their professional and personal development can become a mentor.

Once you are matched, you will receive an automatic notification email at the email address registered in the system. After receiving this email, you can log in to the system and start messaging your mentee directly through the platform.
