The “Rights and Empowerment” training, organized within the scope of the Young Women Building Their Future Project, was held on January 31, 2023, in İzmir, in collaboration with Buca Municipality, at the Buca Municipality Sustainability and Innovation Center. The project is supported by the Sabancı Foundation and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Sabancı Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The training was designed for NEET young women aged 18-29 and covered the following topics: Where Do Women Stand in Society, Human Rights and Women’s Human Rights, Leadership and Vision, Introduction to Cooperatives in the Context of Organizing.
Additionally, participants were introduced to the Opportunities Map, a platform that enables young women to access job, internship, education, and entrepreneurship support opportunities across Türkiye.
