As part of the Young Women Building Their Future Grant Program, the “NEET Women in Industry” project was launched on November 29, 2023, in Ankara. The project aims to employ 50 NEET women in companies within the Organized Industrial Zone.
The project, implemented by the Başkent Industrialists Association (BASAD), held its kickoff meeting with the participation of key stakeholders, including: Mansur YAVAŞ, Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality; Mürsel YILDIZKAYA, Mayor of Polatlı; Muhammed POLAT, Provincial Director of Industry and Technology; Seyit ARDIÇ, Chairman of Ankara Chamber of Industry; Şadi TÜRK, Chairman of Başkent Organized Industrial Zone Board; Gözde DİKER, Chairperson of ANGİKAD; Soner HASÇELİK, Chairman of BASAD. During the meeting, project activities were introduced. The training program will focus on preparing women for careers in the manufacturing industry, industrial automation, CNC, and welding technologies.
