Within the scope of the Young Women Building Their Future Project, the “Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Cultivation” training was held in Adana from May 5-9, 2023, in collaboration with the Adana Agricultural Production Enterprise Agricultural Extension and In-Service Training Center Directorate. Young women participating in the training received both theoretical and practical lessons on medicinal and aromatic plants. In addition to classroom education, participants had the opportunity to apply their knowledge through laboratory, greenhouse, and garden visits, as well as a field visit to Çukurova Başak Women’s Cooperative. Furthermore, they attended empowerment-focused sessions covering: Entrepreneurship, Gender Equality, Access to Rights, Role Model Meeting. Additionally, participants were introduced to the Opportunities Map, a platform that enables young women to access job, internship, education, and entrepreneurship support opportunities across Türkiye.
