Life Skills Meeting Trainer Training, İstanbul

Within the scope of the Young Women Building Their Future Project, supported by the Sabancı Foundation and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Sabancı Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the “Life Skills Meetings Trainer Training” program was conducted in partnership with the Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) between March 20-25, 2023. The training brought together participants from the municipalities of Adana, Diyarbakır, and İzmir. The Life-Enriching Gatherings Program is an educational initiative that encourages women to step beyond the boundaries of daily life and actively participate in society. It also provides a platform for women to ask questions, share experiences, express themselves, speak in public, and advocate or critically assess ideas. During this trainer training program, participants were introduced to both the Young Women Building Their Future Project and the Life Skills Meetings Program. The training covered theoretical knowledge on topics such as: Dimensions of Communication, NEET Young Women, Child Protection, Access to Rights and Empowerment, Self-Care and Time Management, Setting Personal Goals, Continuing Education. Participants reinforced their theoretical learning through practical applications. Upon successfully completing the six-day trainer training, the newly trained instructors will now implement the Life-Enriching Gatherings Program with NEET women in their respective provinces.
